New Show and Tell/Special Helper

Dear parents,
Starting tomorrow, we are having a new version of Show and Tell. Every day a student will take a special bag home. The student is asked to bring in the bag his/her show and tell. The item can not be too big, it has to fit in the bag. When arriving at the school, leave the bag in your child's cubby or on my table. As part of the presentation, the audience will try to guess what's inside the bag.
It can be ANY item.
Have fun!

CASUAL DAY

This Wed. is casual day. Students will be receiving extra house points if they wear a soccer jersey (any team).

INTERNATIONAL DAY

Dear Parents,
On April 4th St. Jude’s will have an International Day. Each class will “host” a country.

This is a school event and all parents are welcome to visit each class. We will have more details about time slots to visit after March Break. Our country is Portugal.

Please, during March Break help your child to find 1-2 facts about Portugal. The facts can be showed through drawings, printed pictures or a simple sentence. When students come back from March Break (Monday, March 24th) we will collect the information and make a nice poster.

Here are some research ideas:
  • type of music
  • food
  • traditional dress
  • artwork
  • products
  • dance
  • toys
  • childhood games
  • climate
  • sports
Thank you for your co-operation!

Students were pretty understandable after I explained to them that the firefighters were probably helping someone in danger. We re-scheduled for this Friday, hopefully will work!
The firefighters are usually on call when they visit schools, fingers crossed they will not have any calls Friday morning. :)
