"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy and sunny Thursday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time, snacks, French class and Drama class.
We also had a fire drill between French and Drama classes and I must say JKs did a great job evacuating the school quietly and in line!
In Language Arts students are working hard on their Writing with Phonics book.
Today they completed 3 pages in order to practice writing and reading the following words/blends: ru, rug, sa, sack, tu, tub.
We also focused on the following ending sounds: s, t, p.
In Math we reviewed coins and played a game where students had to math the value of the coin to the amount of cubes.

In our Unit of Inquiry we learned a little bit about starfish. Then we used sand to decorate a starfish.
To finish off the day we had Gym class.
Have a great evening everyone!
