"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Tuesday!

Today we began the day with Gym, French and Drama classes.
Next students had their healthy snacks and circle time where Nicole presented her Show and Tell.
In Language Arts we completed a page where students had to write the blend and word: he, hen.
In Math we continue with our measurement unit. Today students used a cube train (with 10 cubes) to compare things around the room, they were encouraged to find things that were shorter and longer than their cube train. Students also completed an activity where they had to cut and paste different pictures into 2 categories: heavy and light.

In our Unit of Inquiry on Animals we talked about different types of animals (animal classification) and made a chart about mammals (have, can and are). We also started a booklet about barn animals.

In the afternoon we practiced our Arts Night song with Mrs. Smith's class, had centers and story time.
We finish off the day with our Fundraiser assembly in the Gym.
Have a great evening everyone and don't forget to bring in money to buy baked goods tomorrow.
