Today we had a very productive day!
We began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we learned about our new animal friend: Nicky Narwhal. We sang our phonics song and made a list of words that begin with n. After that students practiced writing upper and lower case n.
Students also wrote in their journals.
In Math, students counted, wrote and represented numbers 1-10.
In our UOI we read a book titled: "The Way I Feel" - this story teaches children about all of the different emotions people feel. The book helps children learn vocabulary to describe the way they are feeling. It also teaches children that different emotions are a part of life. The fun illustrations that go along with the different feelings really help students understand what the different feelings are like. A great book to teach emotions!
To finish off the day, students participated in centers and attended Gym class.
Have a great evening everyone!
