Cold Wednesday!

Despite the cold outside we had a fun day indoors!
Today we began the day with morning circle time, healthy snacks and French class!
Mme. Stella is doing a fantastic job teaching JKs on how say the types of transportation in French.
Next we sang our phonics song and practice listening to short vowels in words like dog, cat, milk, bell, pan, sun, gum and fish. I would say the word and students had to tell which vowel they could hear.
Then we completed 3 worksheets dealing with beginning sounds.

In Math we start by making the question: "What can you do with shapes?"
Students took turns playing around with big shapes on the white board, that was the result:

After that students had some time to manipulate shapes and create patterns.

In the afternoon we practiced the poems, had centers (lots of fine motor skills activities) and Gym class.

Have a great evening everyone and practice your poems!
