Happy Birthday to Jacob and thank you for the delicious cupcakes! Everyone enjoyed!
We began the day with morning circle time, snacks and French class.
In Language Arts we met our new animal friend of the week: Jenny Jaguar. Today we practiced walking like jaguars: slow and quiet. :)
Students completed a page where they practiced lower/upper case J.
We also brainstorm words that begin with J.
In Math, we continue with our unit on shapes. This is our last week to work specifically on shapes. We do re-visited all Math units throughout the school year. For our Math lesson today, students created a creature, by using squares, triangles, rectangles and circles. Next, students were encouraged to count how many of each shape they used.
In our UOI in Transportation we read a book about all different types of trucks. Students understood that trucks are important to move things from one location to another.
At the end of the day we had centers, Gym class and cupcakes to celebrate Jacob's birthday!
Have a great evening everyone!
