"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Fun Friday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time, healthy snacks, French and Drama classes.
Next, we played a game where students were asked to read an specific letter every time I pointed the flashlight at the letter. They had a lot of fun doing that. Students are practicing reading more and more everyday. When I ask them to read, they must tell me the sound of each letter/blends and when I ask them to spell they must say the name of each letter. That's how we start practicing for our Spelling Bee competition taking place in June/2014.
In Math, students completed a couple of activities involving sorting types of transportation (land, air and sea).
In Arts we made reflection art.
In the afternoon, students had Show and Tell, centers and prize box!
Have a nice weekend everyone!
