"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

FUN DAY!

Today we began the day with morning circle time, snacks and French class.
In Language Arts we start the day off with our phonics song and students completed a worksheet where they traced and wrote the following letters: t, g, h, j, d.
Next, some students were able to complete a worksheet on short vowel (see Jacob's worksheet :).
In Math students counted, represented and wrote number 12.
In our UOI we started a booklet about transportation. Today students drew an airplane and copied the word airplane from the board.
Here are some pictures of our centers. We have about 40 minutes in the afternoon where we spend time manipulating different educational toys. Students love center time and at their age is very important to expose them to hands on activities:). Some of the activities we did today was popsicle matching upper and lower case, counting and matching popcorn, number sequence cake, animal matching and patterning, stackados, wedgits building blocks and dry erase writing center.
Have a great evening everyone!
