"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Monday!

Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts students met our new animal friend: Oscar Otter. We learned a little bit about otters today. Then students completed a page where they practiced upper and lower case o.
We also listed words that begin with short o sound.
After that students completed their journals and made Os out of play dough.
In Math we continued with our data management unit. Today students made their own bar graph by comparing the number of boys and girls in our class.
In our UOI we talked about Thanksgiving and each student shared what they think Thanksgiving is all about. Here are the answers:
 - Kareena: "It is when you hug someone!"
 - Miqueas: "It is when you kiss someone on the cheek!"
 - Laila: "It is when you give high five!"
 - Anthony: "It is when you go apple picking!"
 - Alyssa: "It is a celebration for things that we have!"
 - Jacob: "You can have lunch with your family!"
 - Cayden: "You can eat turkey and receive presents!"
 - Nathan: "We can have balloons!"
 - Ninorta: "You can eat macaroni and cheese!"
 - Nicole: "It is turkey day!"
 - Aidan: "It is when you play with your family!"
 - Andreas: "It is a sharing day!"
 - Lennard: "It's a party!"
 - Gabriella B.: "It is a party with cake!"
 - Gabriella D.: "It's grandma's day!"
 - Raiyan: "It is when you say please and thank you!"
After that we shared what we are thankful for and hanged up the leaves in our "Tree of Thanks" in the hallway. Then we read a book about Thanksgiving.
Students attended French and Gym classes today.
Have a great evening everyone!
