"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Monday!

We had a great day!
We began the day with morning circle time (special helper, calendar, songs, story, weather and 100th day tree) and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of letter "Ii" and students were introduced to a new animal friend that starts with letter "Uu". Umbrella Bird is our animal friend this week and it will help students to remember the beginning sound of "Uu" in words like umbrella, upside down, under, up and uncle.
Students completed a worksheet where they had to trace and write upper and lower case "Uu".
After that, we continued in our Math unit on Data Management. Today we played a game where students helped identifying objects in the mystery bag only by touching it and not seeing it, they were encouraged to use words to describe. They all participated really well and these are the words that they came up with: heavy, hairy, hard, squishy, round, fusy, etc...
In the afternoon we had our UOI and today we read a book titled: "What I Do Best?"
Then we had a discussion about talents and students were encouraged to draw something they are good at or something they enjoy doing it.
Today students attended French, Arts and Gym classes.
Have a great evening everyone!
