Today we began the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we reviewed name, sound and formation of U and I. Students then completed an umbrella activity where they had to follow specific instructions to color correctly.
As part of our Language Arts lesson today students completed an activity about their names. They were encouraged to cut and paste letters of their name.
In Math students completed 2 worksheets about number 1. In our UOI students made their self portrait using pre cut magazine pictures from eyes, nose and mouth.
Today JKs attended French, Gym and Art classes.
*Our "Try a Bite Day" is this Friday. If you think this is going to take too much of your time and you will not be able to contribute, let me know:)
*Terry Fox Day is coming up on Sept.26th from 9-11am. Please let me know if you are able to attend as a volunteer (first come, first serve basis). I'll need 2 volunteers to walk my class to the park nearby. JKs will also have an upper grade buddy to walk with.
Have a great evening!
"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."
