"The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right."

Happy Thursday!

Today we start off the day with morning circle time and healthy snacks.
In Language Arts we sang our phonics song for letters I and U. We also talked about short vowel words (e.g. cup, gum, sun, milk, pig and fish) where we can hear short sound of U and I. For now we only focus on short vowel sounds, towards the end of the year we introduce long vowel sounds. In a couple of weeks students will start to learn consonants sounds and then(with practice)  they may start making connections and building one vowel words. Today we practiced letter formation from A-Z.
In Math students counted and represented number 2. They completed an activity where they had to cut and paste number 2, the word two and representation of 2 in correct order.
In our UOI we talked about playing and made a video about our favorite thing/game to play at home.
Today students "wrote" in their journals about what makes them happy. They attended French and Gym classes.
Have a great evening everyone!
